If you have the lens Turbo or equivalent, your lens actually gets a second personality by giving a coverage using its full frame coverage again of close to 50mm ( actually the calculation is 50mm X 1,5 X ,72 = 54mm ( which is close to its full frame legacy ) The interest of these is that with a regular SR/MC/MD adapter, your lens stays at its nominal focal length so with the APS-C crop factor of 1,5 on NEX, this 50mm gives you the coverage of an equivalent to 75mm lens. It also increases the amount of light entering the lens by 1 stop supposedly so your F2 lens becomes a F1,4 in light transmitted to the sensor ( this is why some of these are called Lens Turbo or Booster) I reduces the focal length by a factor of ,72 so your MC/MD 50mm lens actually gives you the coverage of a 36mm ( on APS-C )
